Wave Fish
Wave Fish lives in the menu bar next to the clock, reacting to system audio in real time. Scroll on it to adjust system volume, or right-click to switch between character skins. Menu bar utilities that react to CPU load or keystrokes are common; none found react to audio. Distributed free, with no commercial intent.
